
Maria Ribera | MUSIC
PhD in Art History in 2017, having written a thesis on the life, work and aesthetics of Emili Pujol Vilarrubí. As a result of this musicological research, she was awarded the Sant Jordi 2019 prize by the IEC (Institut d’Estudis Catalans) for the best doctoral thesis in the history of art (Josep Pijoan Prize).
Maria currently combines her concert work with her research and teaching activities. Maria is a graduate of the Conservatori Superior del Liceu, specializing in classical and contemporary guitar.
Afterwards, she did a Master’s degree in Musicology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which led her to further doctoral studies. She also took a specific Master’s degree in guitar performance at the Universitat d’Alacant.
