Federico Leoni | PHILOSOPHY
Federico Leoni lives and works between Milan and Verona and teaches Theories of the Subject and Critical Ethics at the University of Verona.
The themes of the body and the unconscious have always been his privileged field of investigation. He weaves together more classical philosophical researches (the one and the many, time and becoming) and some frontier themes (heterogeneity, assemblage, textiles, weaving). Also in Verona he coordinates the Graduate Program in Philosophy and co-directs the “Tiresia” Research Center for Philosophy and Psychoanalysis.
He has given lectures and seminars in different European countries. He writes in Italian and European scientific journals and collaborates with Italian newspapers and magazines such as “il manifesto,” “Alias,” “Doppiozero,” and “Fata Morgana.” He is the editor of two international scientific journals, “Chiasmi” and “Phi/Psy.” He is the scientific curator of a culture festival, KUM!, held in Pesaro and now in its tenth edition, hosting to date over four hundred philosophers, doctors, biologists, psychoanalysts, politicians and administrators, actors and artists, poets, writers, astrophysicists and anthropologists, women and men of religion and spirituality. His latest books include: Bergson. Segni di vita (Feltrinelli, Milan 2021); L’immagine-scatola. Joseph Cornell, Masashi Echigo, Robin Meier (Castelvecchi, Rome 2022); Metafisica dello specchio. Anish Kapoor e la poesia delle superfici (Marsilio, Venice 2023).
